Wild Man Games is a ferally independent games studio developing super immersive, instantly satisfying, system-based and very replayable strategy, simy, buildy, tycoony games for PC and Mac.
We’re hard at work building out first game Haggle: A Medieval Tycoon Simulator. Follow our journey on X and BlueSky.
Haggle: A Medieval Tycoon Simulator
Haggle: A Medieval Tycoon Simulator is a single player, construction and management sim where you build markets and the web of industries that supply the markets in order to meet the city’s needs. Protect yourself from raids and catastrophic events and build a flourishing mercantile empire in 13th century England. Oh and there’s torture, brothels and fighting too.
Haggle is designed to be super tactile, we’re trying to make the game mostly playable without delving too deeply into the UI, so in that sense it’s very simple to play, the complexity comes with the depth of production chaining and immersion in the world.

We want Haggle to be very replayable too, so we’re aiming at proceedural levels generation, lots of custom set up up for games and citizen motivation systems that change every time you play.
We also want the game to be brutal and lighthearted, so one of our pillars is lighthearted brutality! (that’s very clever steve) The medieval times were pretty harsh, so we want to include all of that in the game, whilst still leaving room for a giggle or two. The Monty Python and Horribles Histories folks have done this pretty well in the past, so there’s definitely some of that getting thrown into the mix.
Haggle will be coming to PC and Mac through Steam and other digital stores next year.
The Wild Ms
Wild Man Games has been on Steve’s to do list for a very long time, he’s been waiting to find someone daft enough to co-found it with him. Thankfully someone arguably dafter and definitely cleverer has come along, it’s Mr Mark Fitt. We’re also delighted to have persuaded the legend Mr Marc Stewart to join the campfire and to make everything look sooo beautiful.
Together we have a dream to make lots of super immersive, instantly satisfying, system-based and very replayable strategy, simy, buildy, tycoony games that we’re calling Strimbildoony™ games because it needs a name and why not?!
Wild Man aspires to be wildly creative, delivering on the dream both artistically and commercially. It’s also really important to us to that we define a few things about our new company to help it grow and form into the thing we want it to be. So we want to*
*create a healthy and productive atmosphere. I think that means work hard, but life flexible. Enjoy the challenge and have as much fun as possible making and crafting the medium we love, and if there’s a life priority, allow ourselves the time to do the more important thing.
*be self-sustaining with long-term thinking. Easy to say, but as we all know, more difficult to do in a creative industry, and always requires a little bit of lady luck.
*be sociable. Not grumpy devs. We’re very interested in meeting, collaborating with and partnering with like minded businesses, developers, publishers and project funds.
*and stay true to our founding principals; which are, by the way, a mash up of ‘live long and prosper’, ‘build it and they will come’, ‘think different’, ‘don’t be evil’ combined with something like ‘serious about our games not about ourselves’. Admittedly it’s not quite a 4 word, snappy tagline yet!
Oh and we’d love to connect with you if you want to talk Strimbildoony, or indeed something more sensible sounding, our socials are below in the footer, or ping us on the contact page. Byee!
